Background
Coach Jedow grew up in Connecticut where he participated in multiple sports but gravitated towards the sport of swimming. From 1986-1990, Coach Jedow attended Wittenberg University where he was a varsity member of the Tigers Swimming program. In 1993 Mark relocated to San Antonio to assume the Head Swimming Coach and Social Studies Teacher position at Robert E.Lee High School in NEISD. From 1993-1999 he rebuilt the Lee program into one of the top 10 programs in the State coaching several state champions and All American's along the way. In 1999, Coach Jedow transferred to the newly opened Reagan High School as the Head Swimming Coach and Social Studies Teacher. From 2000-2002, he led the Rattlers to 3 consecutive girls Texas UIL State Championships. In 2002, Coach Jedow left NEISD to take the position of Head Coach of the North Country Aquatic Club in Hanover New Hampshire. In May of 2005 Coach Jedow returned to NEISD to rebuild the NEAT/AAAA USA Club Swimming Program into a nationally ranked program which included over 600 athletes ranging in ability from the Novice to the Olympic Trials Qualifiers’. In 2008 Coach Jedow took over the reigns of the Churchill Swimming & Diving teams and has continued the proud tradition of excellence established by his predecessor Al Marks. In Coach Jedow’s short tenure he has had three UIL State- Runners-up titles in 2009, 2010, & 2012, 1 National Record Holder, 9 Individual State Champions, and over 20 HS All American's performances.
